I AM SHOL

One of the biggest lessons I need to learn right now is how much work it takes to get a small company up and running and all the little details that need to be worked out and put together. Invoices, design templates, design inspiration, business paperwork, etc. Now I see where the education side really does put a big split between a successful business and one that is just staying afloat. I know their is one offs here and there and who’s to say what’s successful or not, but the reality is, the ignorance of this stuff is what really makes or breaks the longevity of the business. I want something that grows organically and taps all markets of design. I can’t just settle on one. I know this is the hardest part because I want to design buildings, furniture, cities, websites, logos, etc. I want to design it all and put my vision out there for the world to see. What it boils down to is… doing it. That really is the only way to be seen and recognized, doing it with no shame and learning along the way to improve my skills. I’m just too impatient sometimes and what instant gratification and results.
