You know, at some point in my life I started to realize how “privacy” is really the best thing. Obviously in some cases, but I don’t think we value the privacy of our own lives like we think we do. I’ve seen and read that as humans we’re social creatures and blah blah blah, but I don’t think we should give ALL our lives away in the name of making friends and business. I think it’s a very fine line that we walk on. I’m also not talking reading the whole terms and agreements on all the shit we sign up for, because honestly who takes the time to really read that shit?? lmao, but does that mean we should really start? I mean if we continue to give all our privacy away to all these new technologies, will we ever know the true meaning of privacy ever again? Maybe I’m thinking about it too much. I just think there’s certain parts of our lives we don’t really have to share at all and that’s okay. I think it might be my trust issues, but I do feel like when you let the world in on your life, it tends to get used back at you. It’s that hateful group of people that want to know your deepest “secret” and use it against you when they need to gain something from it. I know that’s a wild tangent, but it’s still part of the privacy we do have control over. Especially when you want to keep things private of something that means a lot to you. No one needs to know all of your business. That being said, not everyone is your friend, but not everyone is your enemy. I guess this is really just a personal reminder for myself. I wish all those who want the worst for me out of my life. I only want those who want the best for me around.
